While you were sleeping Oscar Pistorius was released from jail last night and spent it with his family at his uncle’s house in Waterkloof, Pretoria. SA correctional services have confirmed that Oscar Pistorius was released a day early.
I’m guessing they wanted to avoid a media spectacle.
“The department’s Manelisi Wolela says management of the prison is responsible for Pistorius’ release and it appears that they decided against a “staged release” on Tuesday morning.” [EWN]
Pistorius has been placed under correctional supervision and will be staying at his uncle’s house…which you havn’t already seen looks like so.
